Week Three!

My gosh, this is the life! making music around the clock, feeling the vibration of the tracks as they come to life, from our hearts into the speakers, sounds so good!
Week 3 is on the go, we packed our little wicked home studio and move around the block to Bill's studio (Studio Paysage in Saint Colomban)simply to test our tracks with a real drum kit so we will get a proper feel to the songs. it's a great home feel studio with a wonderful view into the woods, we can take our time here to play again and again until we get it super tight and flowing...
Getting sharp on each track is essential so once we get into the studio the recording will be flawless(as much as we can hope for!). we are only here for a few days but it's important to get the right touch on each track, specially with live drums, the way it should be played, I mean, we are pretty heavy and with electronic drums you can only reach so far..

it's truly is amazing here, we are getting to know each other lIke never before, it's emotional at times, but then again....what's not!?

Week Two!

It's getting realer and realer (can you even say that?!?).
Going into week 2, deep in the woods, getting tighter and more comfy with our new designed tracks. feeling pretty good since we are all working with headphones and N8 is playing on electronic drums, I guess we needed a week to get used to it but now it's getting better by the day. Slowly we are finding out right path to each song and making sure it's all fitting proper on the click and that will be ready once we drop it in the recording studio.
Personally, I am loving it, the feeling of change and shift in the tracks is amazing, the fact that we are in the woods has it's own powerful magic touch, no distractions, only sounds....
we can take our time and devoted it fully to the cause...

making music that is....

Week One!

Well...
what can I tell you....?
it's freaking powerful, being in the same room with your band members after many many months of not seeing them, going into the songs that collected dust by now and rebuilding them one by one to a full spectrum of new fresh ecliptic sound, it's powerful...
the fact that we are all in the woods, in a very peaceful place, somewhere in east Canada is very efficient, away from the city lights and confusions of one's mind and external traffic...give us time to go deep into the music and bring all the good to the surface and get rid of all the debris..
I believe we are making intense progress and soon enough we will be able to share some magic with you...

It Has Begun!

SpoonLicker is back on track, first day session after long long time apart, Deep in the woods, in our built-in home studio! vocal cords are rusty, fingers showing blisters, ears squashed from headphones...just the way we like it!!!

it was defiantly wicked to hang around in the same room after so many months apart, building the room, testing the space and trying out our remixed tracks that we will be working on as the weeks go by...

what will happen?!? music...that's for sure!!!
